About Tyler Suran

Senior Clinician | APCC | Executive Strategist

Tyler holds a Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Addiction from Lewis & Clark College, as well as a Master’s degree in International Relations from Webster Thailand. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, maintaining a strong focus on leadership development, pedagogy, clinical ethics, and sustainable workforce systems within mental health care.

In addition to his academic and clinical training, Tyler completed Loyola Marymount University’s Life Coaching Program, expanding his work into performance coaching, executive communication, and professional development strategy for clinicians at every stage of their careers.

As a first-generation professional and neurodivergent clinician, Tyler understands firsthand the invisible barriers that often exist within clinical and leadership pathways. He recognizes that many talented professionals are forced to navigate a “hidden curriculum”, the unwritten expectations, politics, and performance standards rarely discussed openly within the field.

Unmasked Career Lab was founded to challenge that model.

Through a combination of strategic coaching, operational insight, and authentic leadership development, Tyler helps clinicians build careers rooted in clarity, confidence, sustainability, and long-term impact, without sacrificing their identity or wellbeing in the process.

Coaching philosophy is grounded in three core principles:

  • Sustainable success should never require chronic burnout.

  • Authenticity is a professional strength, not a liability.

  • Leadership is built through clarity, systems, and intentional growth.

Whether working with students, associates, licensed clinicians, or executive leaders, Tyler’s mission remains the same: helping mental health professionals build careers that are both impactful and sustainable for the long term.
